Dr. Ling Lo

Piano

Dr. Ling Lo is a pianist and educator committed to creating connection—through music, teaching, and shared artistic experiences. She is currently Teaching Assistant Professor of Collaborative Piano at the University of North Dakota, where she mentors young musicians and actively engages in performance and outreach. Ling holds two Doctoral degrees from Michigan State University in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano, following her studies at Boston University. Each summer, she shares her passion for chamber music and education as a faculty member at the New England Music Camp.

A passionate chamber musician, Ling is the co-founder of LoW Duo, an ensemble that explores the intimate, expressive possibilities of collaborative performance. She has performed across the United States, and her commitment to accessibility and inclusion led her to create the UND Sensory Family Concert Series, a program designed to welcome neurodiverse audiences into the concert experience with openness, care, and creativity.  Beyond the stage, Ling is a passionate advocate for music education. From 2016 to 2019, she served as a program assistant for “Celebrating the Spectrum,” a festival for young autistic pianists, and presented her work on the program at the DOCTRID conference in Ireland.

Whether performing, teaching, or dreaming up new ways to connect with the community, Ling’s work is rooted in the belief that music is most powerful when it brings people together.
