Victoria Wepler fondly remembers her summers at NEMC as a camper and counselor, which is why she is thrilled to be returning to camp this summer as a Prelude faculty member! Vicki is the general and choral music director at The Country School in Madison, CT. She teaches PreSchool through 8th grade, conducts multiple choral groups on campus, and directs the school’s annual musical. Vicki is a classically trained violinist, and has performed with orchestras and chamber groups throughout the country. She is also a certified Suzuki violin instructor, teaches private violin lessons at her home studio, and plays professionally in pit orchestras, at weddings, and for other special events.
When she’s not teaching and freelancing, Vicki sings and plays violin on stages across New England as a member of the award-winning contemporary folk band, Goodnight Blue Moon. GNBM was invited to perform on the bowl stage at NEMC back in the summer of 2022, and it was a truly unforgettable experience! Check out the band’s music, including their most recent album Dawning Dream, on all streaming platforms. Vicki was also seen on stage singing and performing on violin, guitar, and mandolin in the musical Once at the Ivoryton Playhouse. A graduate of Colby College and the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, Vicki currently resides in Guilford, CT and enjoys spending time with her husband Ryan, their two children, Fiona (12) & Grady (9), and their rambunctious kitties, Penny & Zoey.
