For almost 90 years, New England Music Camp has provided a safe and nurturing environment for young musicians to receive a challenging music education and the opportunity to develop life-long friendships and memories.
Right now, NEMC is facing significant challenges that threaten the chance for future generations to have those same experiences. The Covid pandemic in 2020 resulted in the loss of nearly the entire summer camp season. Continuing impacts from Covid persisted into the years after COVID as enrollment and tuition declined 15-20% for years 2021-2024. Moreover, costs across the board have increased significantly since 2020 (food, insurance, utilities, etc.). While enrollment is getting back on track, this past five years have depleted our operating funds, resulting in things like deferred maintenance and deferred replacement of necessary equipment and furniture.
The NEMC Legacy Campaign, our first capital campaign, represents more than just a financial goal; it signifies our collective commitment as an extended family bound by shared emotional and musical journeys at New England Music Camp.
Our goal is to raise $1M by the end of 2025.
By coming together now we can ensure that future generations will have access to the transformative experiences that only NEMC can provide! Let’s rally together to assure that both the camp and the legacy of NEMC remains strong.
