Matthew Wiggin is a collaborative and passionate arts administrator, educator, and music & theatre professional. He is a graduate of the College of Santa Fe, where he earned a BFA in Musical Theater, and the University of Connecticut, where he earned a Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration and Cultural Management.
At Snow Pond Center for the Arts and New England Music Camp, Matthew serves as Co-Executive Director, overseeing Educational and Summer Programming, Retreats, and Camps. His responsibilities include leadership of New England Music Camp, the Snow Pond Music Festival, New England Adult Music Camp, Snow Pond Community Arts and the organization’s Fall Leadership Retreats and programming. Matthew brings extensive experience in independent school education and arts leadership, having held faculty, staff, and administrative positions at Suffield Academy (CT), Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child (NJ), Kingswood Oxford School (CT), and Walnut Hill School for the Arts (MA).
A member of Actors’ Equity Association, Matthew also brings a professional career in theater to Snow Pond. His performance credits include the National Tour of Legally Blonde and regional productions of Oklahoma!, Grease, Happy Days, Spamalot, The Wedding Singer, Pal Joey, A Chorus Line, A Christmas Carol, Anything Goes, Mame, and Hair. His directing and choreography credits include Spring Awakening, Sister Act, Legally Blonde, Seussical, The Little Mermaid, A Chorus Line, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Fiddler on the Roof, Little Women, The Miracle Worker, The Women, The Book of Dog, and A Piece of My Heart.
Matthew and his husband, Stephen Agosto, founder of NEMC’s Musical Theatre Intensive, are proud to continue the legacy of Snow Pond and New England Music Camp into its fourth generation. Together, they are committed to honoring the organization’s rich history while building a vibrant and accessible future for the generations of artists, educators, and students who will call Snow Pond home.
