Patti DeSorbo has been part of NEMC since her first summer as a camper in 2003. Over the years, she has served in a wide range of roles, including Counselor, Canteen Manager, Librarian, Office Manager, and Prelude Band Conductor. Patti’s knowledge of all aspects of camp life serve her well in her current role as Associate Camp Director.
Patti holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and a Master’s degree in Music Education from Kent State University. During the school year, Patti teaches at East Hartford Middle School, where she is the Band Director and Unified Arts Team Leader.
An active member of the Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA), she has previously served as Eastern Region Director and as Secretary of the Board of Directors. Patti also performs regularly on flute and piccolo with the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra. At camp, you may even catch her performing on one of her favorite secondary instruments – like the trombone!
