Joey Zhuang is a Chinese flutist and piccoloist, who finds joy in engaging with a multitude of musical styles. She has held Principal Flute position with Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra and served on faculty at University of Saskatchewan. Joey frequently plays with the Niagara Symphony, Mandle Philharmonic, and has been invited to perform at festivals in Canada, China, Scotland and the United States, from chamber music to world premieres.
Joey recently moved to the D.C/Baltimore area and has been actively teaching and performing. Passionate about music education, Joey collaborates with diverse learners as a teacher in her own studio, and provides guest lectures at various institutions including University of Toronto, University of Saskatchewan, and more.
Joey holds a master degree on Flute Performance with a minor in Entrepreneurship at Northwestern University, with full scholarship while being a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association.
